At Insurance Discourse we don't anoint thought-leaders arbitrarily or allow members to self-proclaim their thought-leadership. We follow a data driven approach for identifying community thought-leadership.
Thought-leadership designations include influencer and thought leader which are awarded based upon a members activities in the community and more importantly the community's feedback on that activity.
|Scope & Nature of Activities||
We measure how engaged you are in the Insurance Discourse community, and you are rewarded for your activity. Naturally, the harder the role, the greater the reward, but even as an Event Participant you receive some credit for joining the cause.
|Reach Within Community||
One way we measure the effectiveness of a Thought Leader is to evaluate your reach. Contemplated in our scoring algorithm, is not just how many Participants are in attendance at Events for which you are part of the Event team but also how your ideas carry through the community.
Leaders by definition lead not follow. Being an Early Adopter reflects confidence, innovation and risk-taking, important characteristics of our Thought Leaders. Early adoption is disproportionately weighted in our scoring.
The total time that you are designated a Thought Leader matters. Being able to sustain the designation is telling and is acknowledged in our algorithm.
|Quality in Role||
Following each Event, Participants and the Event Team complete a quick evaluation. Quality reviews roll into our proprietary Thought Leadership algorithm. Participants can be “called out” by name for exceptional or disruptive contributions which are also factored into Thought Leader rankings.
|Characteristics of Thought-leadership||
A great Event isn’t necessarily thought leading. Our post-Event evaluations include additional questions designed to go beyond just quality in role. The Team’s performance is also measured against unique characteristics that we believe are required of Thought Leaders.
